When planning the block party, Steve Purvis said, "It may not be perfect, but it will be a lot of fun."  But those in attendance would probably disagree and say it was perfect -- the moon bounce, the pony, the food, the music, the games -- all of it came off without a hitch, leaving everyone free to meet new neighbors, chat with old friends, and enjoy the beautiful weather.  The kids would certainly all agree it was fun -- it was great to see them running from one activity to another.  Most of them stayed until the pony was packed off and the moon bounce deflated; and even then, parents were pulling them off the jungle gym and telling them they had to get home to take baths and go to bed.  It was a fabulous party, and they didn't want it to end -- who can blame them?
