Criminal Activity in Newark Neighborhoods

Several neighborhoods in the City of Newark are reporting increased incidents of burglaries and vandalism in their neighborhoods.  Fortunately, West Branch does not appear to be seeing a trend of increased criminal activity.  However we would like to start monitoring incidents that occur in West Branch to be aware of an increase that would require attention to prevent.

To be proactive and hopefully prevent an increase in criminal incidents, we have created a new webpage to keep track of West Branch criminal incidents.  This page will be available for all residents to view.

If any West Branch resident is unfortunate and is a victim of a criminal incident or vandalism please be sure to report it to the City of Newark Police Department and also drop us a note at westbranchca@comcast.net or give us a call at 292-0642 to inform us so that we can update the page to inform other West Branch residents and monitor for an increased trend that might require action to prevent.

On 11/07/08 we distributed a bulletin that contained the Newark Police Blotter information that is contained in the weekly publication of the Newark Post.  Several residents have contacted us to say they really appreciated that information.  Each week the Newark Police Department publishes a weekly report that also contains information that may be of interest to residents.  We are now adding a link  to the Newark Police Weekly Reports to the links section below that can be used to view these reports.
